Remembering The Past

Quondong

Quondong Visitor Centre is being totally rearranged, and our Society has loaned a range of collection items for the new Parlour display. The Parlour or the Parlour/Dining Room was the "best" room in the house and was used to show off the family's prize possessions and values to visitors.

Entertainment and personal accessories are among the Society items on display and were carefully chosen to create the right atmosphere as well as to showcase Glenalvon Museum and collection. Several of our other interesting items are included in the showcases in the "local identities" display room.

If you are planning a visit to the southern end of Queen St, Campbelltown you may like to visit the Visitor Centre to experience the new format and displays.

Our Museum, Glenalvon at 8 Lithgow St, Campbelltown, is open on the 1st Tuesday, 2nd Saturday, and 3rd Wednesday of every month February to mid-December, from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm - other times by arrangement (please ring Jackie Green, President and Curator on 0402 008 970). Visitors are also welcome to our Members Meetings on the 4th Saturday of every month (February to November) from 1.30pm.
